Texas A&M added to its already impressive Class of 2027 on Saturday, landing a commitment from top-end 4-star cornerback prospect Raylaun Henry.
Henry chose Texas A&M over offers from just about every major football college in the country, including but not limited to, Alabama, Ohio State, Indiana, Michigan, LSU, Florida and Tennessee.
Henry hails from Baltimore, Maryland where he attends St. Frances Academy. The 6-1 cornerback regularly faces a tough prep schedule and excels in isolation as a true corner. 247sports rates Henry as the No. 18 overall prospect in the country and No. 3 overall cornerback behind uncommitted John Meredith and Joshua Dobson, and he’s is also considered to be the No. 1 prospect out of Maryland.
As mentioned earlier, Texas A&M has put together a really strong 2027 class thus far. The Aggies now have 6 hard commits, 5 of which are 4-star prospects. Henry is the highest-rated of the group, just ahead of 4-star QB Jayce Johnson, 4-star safety Kamarui Dorsey and 4-star OT DeMarrion Johnson.
It’s hard to overstate the job Mike Elko has done at Texas A&M so far, both on and off the field. The former Duke coach (and Aggies DC) has been excellent with Texas A&M’s vast reserve of resources, and his squad is already seeing success in Year 1. Texas A&M looks to continue its undefeated season on Saturday against South Carolina.
