Moments ago, three-star offensive and defensive tackle Jayden Peevy announced his commitment to Texas A&M during a pep rally at his high school.

Peevy (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) ranks as the No. 97 prospect from the state of Texas for the class of 2017. He picked the Aggies over Tennessee, Iowa State, Houston, and Ole Miss.

“I love it down there,” Peevy told 247Sports. “It feels like a family. It’s a top education and you have the Aggie Network when you get out.”

Texas A&M will reportedly use Peevy as a defensive tackle, though he has experience as an offensive left tackle. As a junior — his first year playing HS football — Peevy recorded 41 tackles, 9.0 sacks, and 18 quarterback hurries in seven games of action.

Peevy’s commitment bumps A&M up to the No. 13 class in the country.
