Texas A&M will be down an offensive lineman as Smart Chibuzo’s football career is reportedly coming to an end. Chibuzo will be medically retiring, according to Brian Perroni of 247Sports.

A Hightower product from Missouri City, Texas, Chibuzo was part of Texas A&M’s 2020 recruiting class. A 3-star guard, Chibuzo pledged to Jimbo Fisher’s program in 2018 and ultimately signed with the Aggies over 20 other scholarship offers, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas.

Chibuzo took a redshirt for 2020, with his lone appearance coming in Texas A&M’s win over South Carolina. Last season, Chibuzo played in the Aggies’ wins against Kent State and New Mexico.
