Texas A&M is working hard on the recruiting trail, and the Aggies landed a big win on Saturday.
The latest commitment for Mike Elko and the Aggies comes from Bryce Perry-Wright, a prominent defensive line recruit out of Georgia. Ultimately, Perry-Wright’s final decision came down to Texas A&M over a group that also included Texas, Clemson and Miami.
Perry-Wright is the 2nd DL prospect to commit in the cycle, and he has all the makings of a potential difference-maker:

Perry-Wright is listed at 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds out of Buford (Ga.) High School. He has received a 5-star rating from 247 Sports, but he checks in as a 4-star prospect per the composite. Perry-Wright is the 38th overall recruit in the country, regardless of position, and he’s the No. 3 DL nationally for the cycle.
With his commitment, Texas A&M is now up to 24 hard commitments for the cycle, a group that ranks 3rd nationally per the team composite. Perry-Wright is the 7th top-100 prospect to commit to the Aggies thus far.
Texas A&M is certainly within range of USC and Georgia, the 2 classes ranked higher, as of July 5, so there is plenty of time for the Aggies to make a run at the No. 1 class in the country.
