Texas A&M RB Jashaun Corbin had a positive update after undergoing surgery for a hamstring injury.

“Surgery went well! The journey begins! Thankful for all the support and love I’ve been getting.. 🙏🏾,” Corbin tweeted Wednesday.

Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher announced Monday that the hamstring injury means Corbin is out for the remainder of the 2019 season. In Saturday’s Texas A&M vs. Clemson game, Corbin had 13 carries for 34 yards along with 2 catches for 4 yards. In the Aggies’ Week 1 win over Texas State, Corbin notched 103 yards and a touchdown, his first 100-yard game, plus 4 receptions for 12 yards and a touchdown.

In 2018, Corbin played in 12 of Texas A&M’s 13 games, rushing for 346 yards and a touchdown on 61 attempts also leading the Aggies with 422 return yards, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors.

Fisher said Monday that Isaiah Spiller will be the new starting running back.
