Texas A&M took its first lead of the game against Auburn with 4:01 to play in the fourth quarter.

The 15th-ranked Aggies trailed 21-0 early in the second quarter on the road inside Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday. With A&M still alive in the race for a spot in the SEC title game and ESPN’s College GameDay coming to College Station in Week 14, a loss before the Texas game would be disastrous for the Aggies.

From the 13:09 mark on through the fourth, A&M outscored Auburn 31-7.

On a second-and-7 from the Auburn 8, Amari Daniels delivered the go-ahead score.

Noah Thomas brought in a pair of touchdown passes from Marcel Reed in the third quarter to tie the game at 21-all. Auburn answered those 2 scores with a 4-play, 55-yard touchdown drive to go back up by 7.

Early in the fourth, A&M picked off Payton Thorne and added a field goal to get within 4 points. Then the defense forced consecutive 3-and-outs to set the stage for A&M’s go-ahead march.

The scoring drive covered 80 yards in 9 plays and took nearly 4 minutes off the clock.
