Texas A&M set to hire former offensive coordinator as analyst, per report

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko has made an intriguing hire to his coaching staff for the 2026 season, according to a report.
Per TexAgs’ Billy Liucci, the Aggies have agreed to a deal to make Drew Hollingshead an offensive analyst this fall. Hollingshead was most recently the offensive coordinator at Coastal Carolina but has also served in that role at Western Kentucky.

In addition to his experience as a coach, Hollingshead has deep ties to the state of Texas. He’s originally from Rockwall, Texas, and played quarterback Houston under then-assistant coach Kliff Kingsbury from 2009-12.
Hollingshead joins a Texas A&M offensive staff that had significant turnover this offseason. Collin Klein left the offensive coordinator position to be the head coach at Kansas State and was replaced by Holmon Wiggins, who was previously co-OC and wide receivers coach.
Texas A&M does return quarterback Marcel Reed and numerous other key players, so the Aggies will be hoping to take a big step forward on offense next season.
Texas A&M is scheduled to begin spring practice on March 20.
