What Texas A&M fans knew was almost certainly coming is now official: TE Jace Sternberger is declaring early for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Sternberger made the announcement in a note shared on his Twitter account. He looks back on his four-year journey in college football, starting out at Kansas before transferring to a junior college and then Texas A&M. The consensus All-American was the Aggies’ leading receiver in all three big categories this season: catches (48), yards (832) and touchdowns (10).
Sternberger recorded a 28-yard reception in Texas A&M’s Gator Bowl win over NC State Monday in Jacksonville.
Sternberger manages to thank just about everyone in the Texas A&M community in his announcement note.
