Texas A&M is shaking up its travel schedule in 2024.
Instead of arriving at their destination 2 days before the game, as was customary under Jimbo Fisher, the team will instead not travel for away games until Friday. For this week, Elko told reporters that A&M will arrive in Gainesville at 4:30 p.m. local time in Gainesville on Friday:
My apologies: listening back again, Elko said they will arrive at 4:30, not leave at 4:30.

Elko and this new Texas A&M staff will be looking for its first SEC win this weekend. The Aggies will be taking on the struggling Florida Gators in Gainesville in Week 3.
While getting a conference win is always nice, the Aggies especially need a win to end their 10-game losing streak in away games. The last time the Aggies won a true road game was back in October 2021 against Missouri.
The Aggies and Gators are both sitting at 1-1 and are in desperate need of a signature win. The Aggies fell to Notre Dame in Week 1, while the Gators were dominated at home by Miami.
Fortunately for the Aggies, their road schedule is much more manageable in 2024. The team will travel to Mississippi State, South Carolina and Auburn after Florida.
The 2 SEC teams will kick off from Gainesville on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
