Texas A&M continues to see Aggies players enter the NCAA transfer portal after the completion of spring practice.

According to a report by Brian Perroni of 247Sports, safety Derrick Tucker is the latest Texas A&M player to look at potentially continuing his college football career elsewhere by entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Entering the transfer portal does not bind the player to leave the school. In some (increasingly rare) cases, players withdraw from the portal and return to the team.

Tucker, who opted out of the 2020 season, signed with the Aggies in the class of 2017 as a 4-star safety out of Manvel (Texas). He played in 21 games over the 2017 and ’18 seasons but appeared in just 4 games of the 2019 season, recording a tackle against Lamar. Over the first two seasons, Tucker recorded 82 tackles (2 for loss) and 6 passes defended, including an interception.

Texas A&M has also seen Camron Buckley and Shadrach Banks
