After playing primarily special teams in his first two seasons, redshirt freshman wide receiver Dylan Wright’s time at Texas A&M may be coming to an end.

On Thursday, Brian Perroni of 247Sports.com reported that Wright has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Wright has played in nine games over his first two years with the Aggies (including five this season), but he has not recorded any stats.

Wright was a 4-star recruit out of West Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas. He was the No. 70 recruit in the 2019 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the No. 12 wide receiver.

Wright, who is 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, will now have a chance at a fresh start — should he decide to leave Texas A&M — after not getting many opportunities during his time with the Aggies.

Texas A&M had already lost some depth at wide receiver earlier this year, as redshirt freshman Kam Brown also entered the NCAA transfer portal in November.

After beginning the season 7-1, the Aggies have only one game remaining on their regular-season schedule — a Dec. 19 matchup at Tennessee.
