Will Lee III was one of three Texas A&M players to meet with reporters on Thursday afternoon in Atlanta during SEC Media Days.
Lee was asked about Texas A&M’s daunting schedule in 2025, which includes road trips to Arkansas, LSU, Mizzou and Texas during the second half of the season. Lee said he believes Texas A&M’s team is more mature this season and is ready to handle the rigorous schedule the Aggies will face, particularly late in the year.
“I feel like now as a team … we know what we can do to get to where we want to be,” Lee said. “I feel like this second half of the season, there will be a big difference for a lot of people.
“I feel like we can walk into Death Valley and we can win. We can go to Texas and we’re going to win.”
Here’s a clip of Lee’s comments:
Lee is projected to be one of the top cornerbacks in the SEC this fall, so he’ll at least have a good opportunity to back up this talk with his play in late November. Lee was excellent against the Longhorns a year ago and had a 93-yard pick-6 to keep Texas A&M in that game.
However, it wasn’t enough. Texas won that game 17-7 in College State as the Aggies’ offense was unable to get anything going.
Texas A&M will be looking for its first win over the Longhorns since 2010. Surprisingly, the road team has won 4 consecutive games in this series.
Kickoff between these bitter rivals is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 28.
