Hampton is a major pickup for Texas. He’s the No. 151 overall player and the No. 11 athlete in the country for the class of 2024. He’s also the No. 27 player from the Lone Star State.
It’s not yet clear which side of the ball Hampton is going to play at the next level. He’s a versatile athlete who could feature in multiple positions for the Longhorns.
He attends Daingerfield High School in Daingerfield, Texas. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds.
Hampton took an official visit to Texas in June of this year. He also visited Alabama prior to making his announcement.
