Future Aggie Roshauud Paul will get a special moment with Texas A&M fans before he even enrolls in College Station.
Paul was announced as the winner of this year’s Mr. Texas Football on Monday, an award for the top high school player of the year. The Bremond High School quarterback will be honored on Dec. 28 at NRG Stadium in Houston, during the Texas Bowl game between Texas A&M and Kansas State.
Behind more than 2,000 passing yards, 2,000 rushing yards and 68 rushing yards from Paul, Bremond is in the hunt for its third consecutive state championship, which will be decided on Thursday. Paul, a three-star prospect, will play wide receiver with the Aggies. He is ranked the No. 60 wideout prospect by 247Sports.
Past winners of the Mr. Texas Football award include former Aggie Johnny Manziel as well as current NFL players Jacquizz Rodgers and Garrett Gilbert.
