Texas defensive back Ryan Nibblet clocked in as the 8th fastest player in Week 7, according to Reel Analytics.
Nibblet took a punt 75 yards to the house, and during his return, he hit a maximum speed of 20.8 mph. This punt return helped propel Texas to a 23-6 victory over its rival, the Oklahoma Sooners. The rate of 20.8 mph was fast enough to register as the 8th fastest player this week for Nibblet.
Niblet didn’t hit his top speed until the end of his return, after bouncing off one of his teammates. It was then that Niblet turned on the burners and hit his top speed as he made his way into the end zone.

Texas was in desperate need of a win, and Niblets’ return helped Steve Sarkisian’s squad secure that. This was the Longhorns’ first win over a Power 4 opponent this season, and it couldn’t have come at a sweeter time. No. 21 Texas is now 4-2 on the season and will turn its attention to Kentucky after securing a victory in the Red River Rivalry.
