The Texas Longhorns could soon have a rematch with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The teams squared off earlier this season, and the Longhorns escaped with a 34-24 win. Now, if both teams win their College Football Playoff games, they will face off again in the National Championship Game.
In anticipation of that potential rematch, Texas insider Chip Brown spoke on The Next Round on Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe’s improvement.
“People don’t understand how well [Jalen Milroe] is throwing the deep ball… He’s got 16 touchdowns and 1 interception on passes 20+ yards this year,” Brown explained.

“He (Milroe) has a better deep ball percentage than Michael Penix,” explained Brown. “Alabama’s been playing really good football.”
The Crimson Tide will kick off against the Michigan Wolverines on New Year’s Day at 5 p.m. ET. The Longhorns will kick off against the Washington Huskies in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day at 8:45 p.m. ET.
