The Texas Longhorns land a huge commitment from former Arizona State running back Raleek Brown, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Brown had his best season by far this past year as he totaled 1,141 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Sun Devil RB rushed for an average of 6.1 yards per carry and had his best game against Colorado, where he totaled 288 yards, 1 rushing touchdown, and 1 receiving touchdown.
Brown will be a huge help in replacing the rushing production the Longhorns got from Quintrevion Wisner, who is now set to play for Florida State.
Christian Clark and Brown will now lead the revamped Longhorns RB room after Wisner, the leading rusher, and CJ Baxter, the fourth leading rusher, entered the portal at the end of the season.
Coming out of high school, Brown was ranked as the No. 3 RB and the No. 42 player nationally in the 2022 class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He committed to the USC Trojans and spent two seasons with them before transferring to Arizona State. Brown’s last year was the only year he totaled above 50 carries.
Brown now joins his third team in 5 years as he looks to take the RB1 spot in Austin.
