Missouri starts the week off with some good news on the recruiting trail as Texas linebacker Nick Bolton has announced his commitment to Barry Odom’s program.

The Lone Star native announced his decision Monday afternoon on Twitter. The Tigers now have a total of 24 prospects either signed, committed or enrolled in the 2018 recruiting cycle. Interestingly enough, all three of the prospects committed to Mizzou at the moment are linebackers. The team is now scheduled to bring in six linebackers in this class.

Also of note, twice in his high school career, Bolton was named District Defensive Player of the Year.

Bolton rates as a three-star prospect and the No. 44 inside linebacker prospect in the nation according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Making this commitment even better for Tiger fans, Bolton chose Mizzou over Kansas. The rivalry lives on despite Bill Self’s attempts to kill it. Bolton also holds offers from Mississippi State, Washington, Colorado, Boston College, Utah, among others.
