This is one of the most impactful fall camp injuries any SEC team has suffered so far this offseason. Cojoe entered fall camp as a potential starter at right tackle for the Longhorns. He was expected to compete for the job alongside Brandon Baker.
Cojoe initially joined the Longhorns as a 3-star recruit back in the class of 2023. He redshirted as a freshman and then played 33 snaps last year. Despite modest recruiting pedigree, Cojoe was primed for a much bigger role in just his third season with the program prior to this injury.
Baker is a former 5-star prospect who joined Texas in the class of 2024. He saw just 65 snaps last season as a true freshman while Kelvin Banks Jr. and Cameron Williams saw the majority of reps at offensive tackle.
Texas will open the 2025 season against Ohio State on Aug. 30.
