Texas made a big-time addition in the class of 2024 on Tuesday.
The Longhorns picked up a commitment from 3-star tight end Jordan Washington. The Houston native also had offers from Texas A&M, Alabama and Utah, amongst others.

Washington is a huge pickup for the Longhorns. He’s the No. 486 overall player and the No. 29 tight end in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 84 player from the Lone Star State.
He attends Langham Creek High School in Houston, Texas. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds.
Washington took an official visit to Texas back in June. He also visited Alabama and Utah last month prior to making this decision.
Texas now has 12 prospects in its 2024 recruiting class, with 7 of them being in-state recruits. The group sits at No. 28 in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
