How did Texas A&M do recruiting the top prospects in the state of Texas?

Texas A&M lost the in-state recruiting battle with Texas. And the Aggies lagged behind Ole Miss and Baylor in signing elite Lone Star State recruits.
The Rebels and Bears each signed two of the top 10 recruits in Texas, according to 247 Sports. Texas A&M and Texas signed only one apiece.
The Aggies signed only No. 10 Justin Madubuike, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound defensive end from McKinney. Fifteen of the Aggies’ first 20 signees were from Texas.
The most painful loss for the Aggies may have been No. 8 Deontay Anderson, a safety from Manvel, who unveiled an Ole Miss T-shirt after skydiving.
