Texas A&M Board of Regents member (and Houston attorney) Anthony (Tony) Buzbee made headlines in September following the Aggies’ loss to UCLA.

Buzbee slammed then-head coach Kevin Sumlin and called for a new head coach. Of course, that all happened as Jimbo Fisher was hired to replace Sumlin earlier this month.

Now, Buzbee is back in the news for a completely different reason.

According to ABC13 Eyewitness News, Buzbee is accusing a woman, Lindy Layman, of destroying three paintings and two sculptures, $300,000 worth of art. Buzbee and Layman were on a date, and after returning to Buzbee’s house, he called an Uber driver because he believed Layman was too intoxicated. She refused to leave and even hid in his home, according to the report. So, he called a second Uber driver, and Layman showed aggression toward that driver. She then went back into his home and proceeded to allegedly pour red wine on his expensive paintings, rip them off the wall and throw his sculptures on the ground.

Layman was charged with criminal mischief and later posted $30,000 bond.

Now, that’s an expensive date.
