Texas star wide receiver Isaiah Bond put on an impressive performance in Week 3 against the UTSA Roadrunners.

The speedy WR clocked in as the fastest player in the FBS this weekend. Bond got up to 22.1 MPH on a 50-yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter, according to Reel Analytics.

Here’s video of Bond’s big catch-and-run:

Bond has always been known for his speed. He committed to Alabama out of high school and played in 27 games for the Crimson Tide from 2022-23. In Tuscaloosa, Bond caught 65 passes for 888 yards and 5 touchdowns.

After the 2023 season, Bond decided to transfer to Texas. The WR has played a large role thus far, collecting 13 catches for 215 yards and 3 TDs in just 3 games.

Against UTSA in Week 3, Bond caught 5 passes for 103 yards and 2 TDs, including the 50-yard scamper where he secured the weekend’s fastest run. The Longhorns would go on to easily dismantle UTSA, winning 56-7 and improving to 3-0 on the season.

Players like Bond and Ryan Wingo have helped to give the Longhorns the nation’s No. 6 passing offense through Week 3.

The next test for Bond and the Longhorns will come against UL Monroe in Week 4. The team will then get to face Mississippi State and then enter the bye week before gearing up for the Red River Rivalry in Week 7.
