Texas took a 14-3 lead over Oklahoma after wide receiver Silas Bolden recovered a fumble in the end zone late in the first half.

Bolden was in the right place at the right time, as Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner fumbled the ball into the end zone at the end of a big run. It looked like the ball would roll out of the back of the end zone for an Oklahoma touchback.

Instead, Bolden was there to save the day:

It was a tremendous hustle play by Bolden, who was not involved in the action until the ball spilled out of Bolden’s hand. He was on the field to be a blocker early in the play, but ended up making all the difference with his sprint down the field.

Texas is looking for redemption after it fell to Oklahoma last season in the Cotton Bowl. It was the only loss Texas suffered during the 2023 regular season.

Texas closed as a 17-point favorite over the Sooners.
