Texas Tech fans went full Tennessee, it seems.
During Saturday’s game against Iowa State, fans were reportedly throwing things on the field after a replay review took an interception away from the home team.
That drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty from the refs. Then, in something that we can’t remember ever seeing before, 2 sections were asked to clear out:

Here’s video of the sections clearing out:

Of course, the fans just crowded into other sections, as @RedditCFB noted:

That seems like a less-than-ideal solution to the problem. Whatever the case, the Red Raiders continue to cling to a narrow 38-35 lead late in the fourth quarter.
We’ll see if they can hang on for the upset.
