Texas holds a commanding 24-3 lead over Michigan after 1 half of football in Ann Arbor.

It’s been a dominant performance for the Longhorns. Quarterback Quinn Ewers was sensational in the first half — he completed 18-of-26 passes for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns before the break.

Texas’ running back committee was also very strong with a trio of runners combining for 71 yards and 1 touchdown on 16 carries.

Defensively, Texas was excellent in the first half. The Wolverines went with Davis Warren to start at quarterback, but he was not able to find much of a rhythm down field. He finished the half with 49 yards on 11 pass attempts.

Texas safety Andrew Mukuba made the big play of the first half — an interception that Texas able to convert into a field goal. Then, on Michigan’s next possession with 1 minute remaining in the half, tight end Colston Loveland fumbled and the Longhorns were able to recover and convert that turnover into another touchdown.

The Wolverines managed just 88 yards in the first half and averaged only 4.2 yards per play. Michigan also went 1-for-5 on 3rd down while Texas went a staggering 8-of-10.

Overall, it was a dominant showing by Texas in the first half. Here’s some of the reaction from college football fans and media to this performance:
