On Tuesday afternoon, it was reported that Mississippi State LB coach Tem Lukabu was returning to the NFL ranks, leaving a hole on the Mississippi State staff.

By Tuesday night, coach Joe Moorhead had reportedly already landed a replacement, and it comes at the expense of an SEC East squad.

Per a report from 247Sports, Vanderbilt LB coach Chris Marve will be heading to Starkville to serve in the same role on Moorhead’s staff:

Steve Robertson of GenesPage247 is reporting Chris Marve will be moving to Mississippi State after a long stint as both player and coach at Vanderbilt.

Marve was a grad assistant for Vandy in 2015 and has served as the team’s LB coach since 2016.

Now, Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason has a position to be filled on his staff before spring practices start.
