The Big 12 Championship Game is already heated: Coaches, QBs taking shots

Plenty of SEC fans outside the Alabama and Georgia fan bases will be watching Saturday afternoon’s conference championship game. They might want to watch the Big 12 Championship Game (kicking off at noon ET), too. The rematch between Texas and Oklahoma is already getting nasty and we’re not even halfway through the work week.
It was recently reported that fired Kansas coach David Beaty will help Texas coach Tom Herman and his staff game plan for facing Oklahoma again.
Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley made it clear he doesn’t like seeing a Big 12 coach (technically former Big 12 coach in this instance) take sides in a conference championship game.
I would say Lincoln Riley made his feelings on David Beaty’s move to help Texas this week pretty clear here #Sooners pic.twitter.com/x1UIDnAFRT

The quarterbacks are also doing their part to make this game feel even more like Red River Showdown Pt. II. Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray declined to say he “respects” the play of Texas QB Sam Ehlinger. The Longhorns signal-caller responded with the four most popular words in Austin.
This OU-Texas Monday gets a 9.5-out-of-10. The way it should be. #Sooners #HookEm #HornsUpForPeace pic.twitter.com/q7TRPDhHbB
