The very first play of the MAC season was just as wild as you’d expect

It’s Wednesday night, and the MAC is back in action! Oh, how we’ve missed MACtion in our lives.
We didn’t have to wait long for the craziness to begin, either, as Akron provided some drama on the very first play against Western Michigan.
As you can see below, Akron attempted on onside kick on the first play of the game, but it was called back because of a penalty:

We love that kind of boldness. Sometimes you just have to set the tone for the season.
It didn’t work, though, and now Western Michigan holds a 44-13 lead over Akron in the third quarter. Oh well, hopefully Akron provides plenty of more MACtion drama this year.
