There he goes: Cordarrelle Patterson ties NFL record with kickoff return for TD

We hardly ever see kickoff returners bring kicks out of the end zone these days, but former Tennessee standout Cordarrelle Patterson isn’t afraid to try to make a big play.
That’s exactly what he did to start the third quarter of Monday Night Football for the Chicago Bears. He made a couple of guys miss and then, 104 yards later, he put his name in the NFL history books.
Below, you can see him bring it out of the end zone with no hesitation, throwing some slick moves on would-be tacklers and then putting up the “deuces” hand signal to celebrate:

That was Patterson’s eighth career kickoff return touchdown. That ties him for the most kickoff return touchdowns in NFL history, joining Joshua Cribbs and Leon Washington.
The Bears seem to enjoy having him around, so we’ll see if he can take sole possession of first place over the next couple of years.
