Since becoming a first-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft out of Georgia, LB Thomas Davis has spent 14 years with the Carolina Panthers, making it to three Pro Bowls.
However, for the 15th year of his career, he’ll be on the move, and will be heading about as far away from Charlotte as possible in the NFL.
Per a tweet from Davis himself, he’ll be signing with the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2019 season:
Very happy that I’m going to be able to showcase my talents for the LA Chargers! Long way from home but I’m extremely excited about this opportunity! #Year15ondeck #lookatGod

Details of Davis’s contract are unknown at this time, but the Chargers are a team on the rise. Los Angeles finished tied for the best record in the AFC last season at 12-4, losing the No. 1 seed via a tiebreaker to division rival Kansas City.
Davis has recorded 1,111 tackles, 28 sacks, 13 interceptions and 18 forced fumbles in his storied career so far.
