A number of SEC seniors have already accepted invitations to the Reese’s Senior Bowl, and three more players were added to the roster on Monday.
The three players who were announced are LSU WR D.J. Chark, Ole Miss LB Marquis Haynes, and Georgia OLB Davin Bellamy. The Senior Bowl will provide these players one more opportunity to demonstrate their skills and workout while preparing for a shot at the NFL Draft. The game will be played Jan. 27 in Mobile, Alabama.
Chark finished this season as the Tigers leading receiver while also proving to be a dynamic return man. Chark posted 35 catches for 811 yards and 3 TDs. He also had 187 yards off of punt returns with 2 TDs.
Haynes was a force along the Rebels defense and led the team with 11 TFL and 7.5 sacks. He finished his career with 47.5 TFL and 32 sacks.
Bellamy showed flashes with the Bulldogs defense but never achieved consistent results this season. He recorded six TFL and 3.5 sacks while forcing 2 fumbles in 2017. However, he does possess an interesting blend of size and speed.
