A member of the SEC has played in the TaxSlayer bowl in each of the last six years with Georgia’s 24-17 win over Penn State on Jan. 2, 2016 being the most recent.
In 2015 the bowl announced it would return to a hybrid arrangement for a six-year period, featuring SEC teams playing ACC teams for three years and Big Ten teams the other three years (the Notre Dame is also eligible during ACC years).
