It all comes down to USC. And USC.

Evan Hinson, a three-star defensive end/tight end prospect out of Deltona, Fla., is down to South Carolina and Southern Cal as his final college choices. He’s taken official visits to both schools in each of the last two weekends, visiting the Gamecocks on Jan. 15 and the Trojans on Jan. 22.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder can also play some basketball. He averaged 23 points per game as a junior at Deltona High School.

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Hinson is the No. 30 tight end in the Class of 2016. He also received offers from Florida, Miami and Michigan.

The Trojans may be a long ways from SEC territory, but it’s worth noting that Hinson is being recruited by Southern Cal’s offensive coordinator/receivers coach Tee Martin, the former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback.
