Tim Tebow believes there are 2 SEC players that should be in the Heisman Trophy race by the end of the season.

The former Heisman winner and Florida quarterback believes Kentucky’s Ray Davis and Georgia Brock Bowers have made a strong case to be in the Heisman race.

Davis, Kentucky’s running back has logged 594 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns and 3 receiving touchdowns. Tebow believes his performance against Florida last week gave him the edge.

“Ray Davis is ridiculous,” Tebow said. “11 touchdowns, 2nd most in the FBS. But guys last week against Florida, and I hate to say it, but 280 yards, 7.5 yards after contact per play. That is ridiculous.”

Bowers has been a big name in the SEC for several years now, but Tebow believe it’s time for him to be in the Heisman race. He’s logged 413 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns on the year.

“Brock Bowers, how can you not love him,” Tebow said. “Everything he does, it’s incredible. Brock Bowers is ridiculous. Blocking, running, catching, big plays, and my favorite part is what he does in the clutch.”
