Tim Tebow is the Michael Jordan of his sport.

At least when it comes to minor-league baseball attendance.

According to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell, this season has shown the biggest rise in attendance since Jordan played for the Birmingham Barons in 1994.

Rovell reports that the Columbia Fireflies, the Class A team who Tebow played for through June 21, had its attendance swell by 54,000 fans, a 21 percent year-over-year increase from 2016. Tebow had a similar effect for the advanced Class A St. Lucie Mets. During his time with the Mets, attendance rose 37 percent — a total of 35,803 fans —  compared to last season.

Tebow’s play on the field left a bit more to be desired.

His batting average was just .226, tallying eight home runs and 52 runs batted in.
