College sports announcers are apparently so accustomed to seeing Alabama win national titles, even they are surprised when a champion comes from anywhere other than Tuscaloosa.

The latest example of this came last night when Florida State’s softball team won the Women’s College World Series over Washington by a score of 8 to 3. Immediately after the game became final, ESPN’s announcer can clearly be heard saying the championship trophy is headed to Tuscaloosa.

The exact quote from the video below: “(Florida State coach) Lonni Alameda will bring that championship trophy back to Tuscaloosa!”
