Chad Morris announces senior TJ Hammonds will miss the first four weeks of the season
Arkansas will take the field for the first four games of the season without the services of senior running back TJ Hammonds, Chad Morris confirmed on Monday.
During his first press conference of the regular season, Morris was asked to address a report that Hammonds had been suspended for the first month of the upcoming season. While Morris did not specifically use the word suspension, he did confirm that the senior would not play in the first four games.
“TJ won’t be with us for the first four weeks,” Morris said on Monday.
This is the latest news in a rocky offseason for Hammonds in Fayetteville as he left the program only to return during the offseason. Now with the season approaching, it sounds like the senior is in the dog house once again in Fayetteville.
In three seasons on the field, Hammonds has 378 rushing yards and two touchdowns along with six receptions for 148 yards and another two scores.
