TJ Shanahan Jr., talented 2023 OL, announces SEC commitment

Talented offensive lineman TJ Shanahan Jr. let the nation know what team he would be playing for next season on Wednesday.

The class of 2023 offensive lineman announced his commitment to Texas A&M via Twitter.

Shanahan, a 6-4, 310-pound offensive linemen, is from Austin, Texas, about 100 miles west of Texas A&M. The 4-star is the No. 62 player in Texas and No. 150 nationally, per 247Sports.

Shanahan is Texas A&M’s 11th commit from the class of 2023 and joins six other 4-stars and one 5-star. He is Texas A&M’s fourth offensive line recruit in the class of 2023. His commitment comes less than a day after top-50 cornerback Bravion Rogers recommitted to Texas A&M.

The Aggies are currently have the No. 24 recruiting class for 2023 following Shanahan’s commitment.

Texas A&M is coming off an 8-4 finish a season ago and won its week one matchup against Sam Houston.

Shanahan’s high school, Westlake, is currently the No. 9 high school team in the country and is off to a 2-0 start on the season.
