If you played fantasy football last year, you were smart to have former Georgia RB Todd Gurley on your roster.

Despite a delayed start from his torn ACL as a UGA senior, Gurley wracked up 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns on 229 in his rookie season with the Rams.

He’s planning to improve on those numbers this year, and thinks fantasy football players should select him early.

“No. 1 overall for sure,” Gurley told the NFL Network.

Well, maybe there’s two other players the former Bulldog would understand picking first.

“You maybe could choose Antonio Brown over me, but no one else. Maybe Cam (Newton). That’s it,” Gurley said.

ESPN has Brown as the No. 1 player in its Top 300 fantasy rankings. Two SEC alumni, Odell Beckham Jr. (No. 2) and Julio Jones (No. 4), are also listed before Gurley (No. 6). Newton is ranked No. 35.
