Tennessee’s loss is Alabama’s gain.

Following Jeremy Pruitt’s dismissal in Knoxville, the Crimson Tide have not only managed to pick up former Tennessee running backs coach Jay Graham, but Alabama has also reportedly landed another key former Volunteer staffer.

After three seasons on staff at Tennessee, former Volunteer Director of Football Programming Todd Watson has found a new home in Tuscaloosa. This news was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com.

Following Jimmy Brumbaugh’s midseason firing at Tennessee, Watson stepped up to serve as Tennessee’s interim defensive line coach last season.

Prior to landing his role at Tennesse, Watson served as the Director of Operations and High School Relations for Troy from 2015-17 and was a successful high school coach in the state of Alabama before moving into the college ranks.

Pruitt and Watson both coached for Rush Propst during their high school coaching careers.
