Tom Hart believes Jayden Daniels performance against Florida was one for the ages.
The LSU quarterback had 372 passing yards along with 234 rushing yards and 5 total touchdowns. He became just the second quarterback in SEC history to have 200+ passing yards and 200+ rushing yards in a single game.
Hart, a Heisman voter, was impressed by his ability to get yards through the air and on the ground.
“What made it so impressive to me is, you know I’ve seen a lot of great running quarterbacks, we all have over the years,” Hart said on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning. “I’ve still, even through this moment, thought of Jayden Daniels as a running quarterback, kind of running first. I’ve never seen a running quarterback go for 200+ yards and throw for 370. The talent that was on display, he’s impossible to defend… He just did the unthinkable Saturday night.”
The performance was just another Heisman moment for Daniels, and he’s making a strong case to be on the stage in New York in December.
