Tom Luginbill shared his thoughts on No. 11 Alabama’s upcoming matchup this weekend at Texas A&M during an appearance on The Next Round.
The ESPN analyst believes Alabama will have to shed its reputation as a run-first offense in order to topple the Aggies in College Station.
“This may be the game that you go on the road and the quarterback’s gonna have to win the game through the air…I think if this is a game that Alabama get’s past, they will win the West and go to Atlanta” @TomLuginbill on @AlabamaFTBL at @AggieFootball pic.twitter.com/pLh2nRW9x6

“This may be the game that you go on the road and the quarterback’s gonna have to win the game through the air,” Luginbill said. “If Alabama cannot consistently run the football or just lean on Texas A&M and grind away at them, which I think would be very difficult for Alabama to do at this point when you look at Texas A&M’s personnel.”
Milroe has shown glimpses of his potential but has yet to put the offense on his back during his first season as the starting quarterback. Milroe has passed for 838 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.
Luginbill is adamant that an Alabama victory in Week 6 could vaunt them into the SEC title game.
“Much of the game plan could fall onto the shoulders of Jalen Milroe. I think this could be his biggest test,” Luginbill said. “I think if this is a game that Alabama get’s past, they will win the West and go to Atlanta.”
Alabama at Texas A&M is slated for a 3:30 p.m. EST kickoff and will be televised on CBS.
