Top 50 player, in-state athlete David Daniel commits to Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs received some huge news Friday morning.

Four-star athlete David Daniel (Woodstock, Ga.) committed to the Bulldogs over offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma, among others. He’s a class of 2021 prospect, a high school junior.

Daniel becomes the Bulldogs second commitment for the 2021 recruiting class.

The 6-2, 185-pound prospect is ranked as the nation’s No. 41 overall play, the No. 2 overall athlete and the state of Georgia’s No. 5 prospect for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

David plays multiple positions in high school, but he’s projected to play safety at Georgia. He visited Athens for the Murray State game.
