Video: The SEC’s top plays from a crazy Week 11

With a few lopsided matchups in Week 11, a number of SEC players were ripping off 50+ yard runs like it’s going out of style. With that in mind and with a good assortment of other plays to choose from, the focus of this week’s top plays drifts away from the ground game.

5. DUDCHOCK’S THE DUDE

Early in the fourth quarter against Florida, Vanderbilt quarterback Johnny McCrary rolled left and chucked one up to tight end Davis Dudchock. Typically, that story doesn’t end well, but Dudchock held off a defender with one hand and brought the ball in with the other for a 41 yard throw and catch.

4. ANYTHING YOU CAN DO, I CAN DO BETTER

Later in that same game, McCrary tried going deep again, this time throwing to the corner of the end zone. Florida’s Jalen Tabor was in perfect position to make a play on the ball, and did he ever, making an even better one-handed grab. Maybe he should be catching balls from Treon. Florida would win the game, 34-10.

3. AUBURN’S MAGIC IS GONE

Having already seen Texas A&M throw four touchdowns up on the board, Auburn was reeling. A field goal before the half would likely have given the Tigers some positive momentum going into the locker room, but Myles Garrett and Deshazor Everett had other ideas. Auburn eventually lost in a heartbreaker, 41-38.

2. JENNINGS TO DUPRE

This was ridiculous. Yes, there have been two one-handed catches so far on this list, but this is the ultimate. LSU’s Malachi Dupre somehow overcomes an arm bar from Cyrus Jones, locates a perfect dime from Anthony Jennings, pulls it in with his left hand, and walks the tight rope to get his foot down. The score put LSU on the board first. Unfortunately, the Tigers would lose in overtime, 20-13.

1. MCKENZIE’S MEGA-DAY

The Bulldogs have been running the ball all over their opponents this year, but returner Isaiah McKenzie took it to another level. Taking the opening kickoff against Kentucky to the house was pretty good. Taking a punt return back to the house, too? Really good.

Honorable Mention:

With Laquon Treadwell sidelined for the rest of the season, Ole Miss had to find another spark in their receiving corps. Treadwell’s replacement, Vince Sanders, proved quickly to be the answer. Mr. Treadwell approved. The Rebels beat Presbyterian handily, 48-0.
