It’s official, Tosh Lupoi and John Lilly have been fired by the Cleveland Browns.

Now under the leadership of first-year head coach Freddie Kitchens, Cleveland reached into the SEC to hire two of the seven new members of its coaching staff. The Browns officially announced those hires, along with the hires of Joe Whitt, Al Holcomb, Chris Jones, John Parrella and Jeff Blasko.

Lupoi will coach the defensive line and Lilly has been hired on to coach tight ends in Cleveland. Lupoi served as a defensive assistant under Nick Saban for five seasons, including one season as the program’s defensive coordinator. While Lilly also has coordinator experience, he served as an analyst on Jeremy Pruitt’s first staff at Tennessee.

As of this Friday announcement by the Browns, Alabama has yet to replace Lupoi on its staff.
