Treylon Burks update: Titans WR reportedly receives positive outlook after scary injury
Treylon Burks received some good news after his initial scare earlier on Wednesday after being carted off the field with a knee injury in a Tennessee Titans training camp practice. An MRI later that day revealed that Burks suffered an LCL sprain in practice as opposed to something serious according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
#Titans WR Treylon Burks suffered an LCL sprain during practice today, sources say after the MRI. This is good news, as Burks should only miss a few weeks. A scare, but a solid result considering. pic.twitter.com/aIw4FsVC7t

The former Arkansas receiver is entering his 2nd year in the league as the solid No. 2 receiver. He was the top returning wide receiver this past season for the Titans. As a rookie, Burks caught 54 receptions (2nd on the team) for 444 yards (3rd on the team) and 1 touchdown.
Tennessee brought in veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins this offseason to become the No. 1 receiver for Tennessee this season. Burks would be the No. 2 receiver and learn under Hopkins.
Burks is expected to be out for a few weeks as he heals up. It is not known if he will be back in time for when Tennessee starts the Week 1 matchup when the Titans go on the road to take on the New Orleans Saints.
