Don’t call it a fluke. Troy just beat up on LSU Saturday night.
In case you haven’t heard, the Trojans knocked off the Tigers 24-21 in Baton Rouge.
“That wasn’t a fluke,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown said at his Monday press conference. “We didn’t run one trick play. We ran zero gimmicks on offense, defense or special teams. We played big boy football. We ran the football, played great defense and were solid on special teams.
“We earned that victory, and I think that needs to be noted,” Brown added. “We were in control of the game from the first period on Saturday night … Our kids were ready. They were prepared, and they played extremely hard. They played with perfect effort.”
Troy just played big boy football and outmanned LSU. That’s got to be tough for LSU fans to admit, but Brown is telling the truth.
Troy outrushed LSU 206 to 162.
