WATCH: Tua Tagovailoa describes his first touchdown pass of 2018: ‘God bless and Roll Tide’
Tua Tagovailoa’s first touchdown pass of the 2018 season may have been a highlight throw but it’s safe to assume Nick Saban was not happy with the decision of Alabama’s starting quarterback on the play — regardless of how it ended up.
During a sit-down interview with ESPN college football analyst and former Crimson Tide starting quarterback Greg McElroy, who likely knows first-hand about catching Saban’s wrath after making a questionable decision on the field, Tagovailoa was asked to explain what he was thinking after his first touchdown of the 2018 season.
If you can’t remember the play, Tua spun in a circle then jumped before completing a touchdown to receiver Jerry Jeudy.
“That was a God bless and Roll Tide,” Tagovailoa said. “I’m never doing that again.”
