The much-anticipated 1st start of the NFL career of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa didn’t go as planned.

The former Alabama great had a tall order ahead of him as Miami faced off against the Los Angeles Rams and star defensive tackle Aaron Donald on Sunday. Unfortunately for Tagovailoa, who was named the starter in place of veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, Donald got the better of him on the Dolphins’ opening drive.

With just over 3 minutes played in the 1st quarter, Tagovailoa was taken to the ground hard by the 6-time Pro Bowler, losing the ball in the process and turning it over to the Rams.

Hopefully, better times are ahead for Tagovailoa during his NFL tenure. Having already come off an injury that cut his stellar college career short, the Dolphins can ill afford to see the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 draft have to leave this one early and have his development hindered.
